The Mother-Elk, "Kyz-Angi" is one of the major mythological figures of Siberian Natives. According to Native Siberian mythology, every morning with the sun rising he Mother-Elk, "Kyz-Angi" makes her way across the sky from the East to the West. Animals and plant seeds fall from her down to Earth giving prosperity and fertility to Earth. In the evening she goes under the Earth, where she rests beside the roots of the Tree of Life. She rest till dawn when she gets up and again goes across the sky repeating the things she does.
